Fry rejected the idea that the immune system could be "broken" or "confused."

Terrain theory posits that an individual's internal environment—the "terrain"—determines health, suggesting that a balanced, healthy body resists disease regardless of exposure. It contrasts with "germ theory", focusing on boosting immunity through nutrition, lifestyle, and a healthy microbiome rather than solely eliminating pathogens

Fry rejected the idea that the immune system could be "broken" or "confused."

He taught that the body is always working for the individual, never against them.

On the Body's Wisdom: "The underlying basis of Natural Hygiene is that the body is self-cleansing, self-healing and self-maintaining. Nature is always correct and can not be improved upon."

On Self-Attack: He argued that the body does not attack its own healthy tissue; rather, it attacks the poisons embedded within that tissue. He stated that the body is "self-preserving" and only experiences "disease" when we "break the natural laws of life."

On "Incurable" Autoimmune Conditions (Arthritis & Rheumatism)

In his book Reversing Arthritis, Gout, and Rheumatism, Fry claimed that these conditions are caused by "toxemia"—the saturation of the blood and tissues with metabolic waste and "unusable" food substances.

On the Cause: "There is but one disease, and only by treating that disease by ridding the body of accumulated filth and poison, and not by suppressing the symptom, can real lasting health be secured."

On Medical Treatment: He viewed the pharmaceutical suppression of autoimmune symptoms as dangerous: "We would be smothered in our own poisons... if we hinder her healing process through the use of drugs, serums, and other medical measures."

On Recovery Protocols

For those suffering from chronic "autoimmune" inflammation, Fry's "direct orders" were consistent:

On Fasting: "All that is required from us is to remove the causes of the problem, rest (go to bed) and preferably stop eating (fast)."

On Diet: "The salutary truth is that we shouldn't be eating anything that has a label on it!" He advocated for a return to "pristine" living to "walk back the progress of disease."

P.S. I know that there is no immune system-however we do have a lymphatic cleansing / detox system.
